Special Award for the United Methodist Church in Macedonia

On Thursday, December 11, 2008, the «Miss Stone Centre» of the United Methodist Church in Macedonia was awarded with a special prize of the City of Strumica. This prize, which is awarded annually at the «Day of the Holy Fifteen Martyrs of Tiveriopol (-> former name of Strumica)» is honoring the «exceptional services in humanitarian and social terms». Mitko Konev, the director of the «Miss Stone Centre», and United Methodist pastor Mihail Cekov were presented with the badge of honor and the certificate by Mr. Zoran Zaev, mayor of Strumica.
